Dr. Margo Vassar is a new addition to the Queen’s Heart Physician Practice (QHPP) who specializes in clinical cardiology and echocardiography. She attended undergraduate studies at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and pursued her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Following her internal medicine internship and residency program at Medical College of Virginia, she continued her training in Cardiovascular Disease with fellowship at Penn State College of Medicine. Her interests include echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular disease of women. She has participated in a research internship with the World Health Organization Department of Chronic disease and Health Promotion in Geneva, Switzerland. As a member of the QHPP, she is the current director of heart failure disease management program. Outside of work and being new resident to Hawaii, she continues to explore the Island of Oahu along with traveling to the outer islands. She also proves herself to be a passionate musician as a member of the Oahu Civic Orchestra, and a dedicated volunteer in ocean conservation efforts, having participated in marine animal rescues.
